Family Literacy Day is a national awareness initiative created by ABC Life Literacy Canada in 1999. It is held each year on January 27 to encourage families to engage in literacy activities together. It is important to take time each day to read or do a learning activity with your child. I encourage you to play a board game such as Boggle or Scrabble, read a book together at bed time or follow and recipe and bake something wonderful!
